something new every day *1*

After the writing challenge in June, which i found i loved the structure of, i now plunge into a new challenge, as spurred on by this link from TedTV, which was posted by a very special somebody on Facebook...
TedTV has got a lot of groovy, intriguing, funny, amazing talks and ideas, and this one seemed just as okay, and something i feel the need to get my teeth stuck into...

so here goes
{i don't even have a list or whatever of 30 things i feel like doing...}
My first challenge - should i chose to accept it - is:

* crochet my own lace/shell motive scarf *

Love them when come across them, but they're never in colours that i like, or a price that pleases me...
