Heard Max leave the house at 5.30 this morning, like he did yesterday morning. He's moved on from leaflets to the newspaper (regional/national) which will earn him even more money, which will bring him closer to his goals of getting half decent guitar equipment and stuff to do with computers.
Yesterday - his first morning - he woke up nice and early, went off quite happily, according to Alan, and was back full of enthusiasm. We get two free papers - moving me away from my goal to not read them at all ever - and yet another set of delivery bike-bags (they're huge....) to try and fit in our tiny shed...
This morning was a different story. These holidays, Max seems to have moved his sleeping pattern to one that befits a mole - waking up pretty late in the morning. Only, that doesn't really work when he has to be up at 5 o'clock, so this morning there was no Max turning off his alarm clock. Instead his father had to climb the attic stairs and switch the thing to quiet. Max apparently looked like he'd just come back from a rave, all groggy and unclear what was happening... And to top it all, it started raining half an hour into his round. Max had no raincoat so came home looking like a drowned cat... Poor thing...
Wonder how long he'll carry on doing this...
