On our spiritual calendar today:
We mustn't run from our problems, but look at them in a different way...
Which i suppose is the crux of most problems: the way we've learnt to look at them... When you trap your thumb in the door, or lose your job, or have an argument with a loved one, there's various ways of looking at them, and whichever one you chose, will make you either angry, fired up or at peace with the world...
The trouble is - when you change the way you look at things, the people around you don't always appreciate that... They may feel that you betray them, or challenge them by moving on from old ways. Which may make you feel so uncomfortable, that you go back to your old ways and stop making others feel odd, and you feel accepted again... Only, that may not be the place you want to be anymore, deep down inside... What then?
I noticed this when someone close to me started to make me feel very insecure, because my new ways of looking at things were rather opposite to how they saw things, and quite a bit of friction between us was a result. As we are not people that turn away from problems - on the whole - a new way of dealing with each other was the result, but the process wasn't easy... More than once i felt i was being pig headed for the sake of it, but my inner voice was stronger than that, and i now feel that things are good the way they are. The times of unease are part of a bigger picture. And worth the outcome...
