- sound waves -

Had my first ever sound-healing-evening, last week... Thanx to my friend Mo, who asked, while we were talking about other stuff, whether i fancied coming along to an evening that a friend of hers had organised later that week. I was game, it seemed very interesting anyway. I've read lots about it, but never knew people who did sound healing. Now i do...

In a gigantic space (which turned out to be an old football canteen but is now someone's house) we were treated to an evening of music: didgeridoos, sound bowls, Indian flutes and lots of tinkly things made beautiful sounds that apparently produced vibrations which are very helpful to our bodies, even help to lift blocks that so that healing processes in the body can more readily happen. (this site has more info). To which notion i'm quite open... I noticed that sitting a the same position wasn't very helpful, so if i go again i will bring my yogamat. But the soothing sounds of the didgeridoo, it's deep, resonant groan, and the joyful, lighter sounds of the Indian flute filled me with happiness and love, and i'm sure all sorts of processes have started in my body...

As i'm so out of balance that it was picked up by the musicians/healers, i was asked - along with my friend and a few others - to come to the front and have a short mini-treatment. More mysterious movements and sounds happened, and i should have more chance of balance in my life, apparently. Time will tell...

I recommend this to anyone!!
